I just noticed how oddly shaped this path/grass area is on the Ball State University campus Muncie, Indiana. Fixed bike rack, hydrant, water shut-off valve, lamps.

I recently discovered this map on the Ball State University’s Network Operations Center.

It is a graphic depiction of the campus’ network maps. I find this interesting because on campus I always think of pathways and nodes as places that I can physically visit and follow. This map demonstrates that Ball State’s massive flow of internet traffic and connectivity defies all of that and draws us to understand the campus in terms of flow of information rather than people.
